Previewing This Week

Sat., Feb. 18 vs. Quad City – 7:05 p.m., | Home vs. QC (2-2-0), Away vs. QC (0-2-1)

Saturday will mark the final time Quad City visits the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena this season. The Mavericks have dropped a pair of one-goal decisions to the Mallards in their two most recent home meetings. That follows on the heels of Missouri winning eight consecutive home games (including playoffs) against the Mallards dating back to the start of the 2015-16 season. The Mavericks and Mallards have had six of their seven prior games this season decided by one goal, and in the one that was decided by three goals the Mavericks scored two into an empty net. Quad City enters play this week with the second-longest active win streak in the ECHL at seven games. The Mallards will put that streak on the line twice before arriving in Independence in a home-and-home series with Cincinnati on Wednesday and Friday.

Sun., Feb. 19 vs. Toledo – 4:05 p.m., | Home vs. TOL (0-0-0), Away vs. TOL (0-0-0)

Sunday is Toledo’s first-ever visit to the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. The Mavericks and Walleye last got together, in their only matchup to date, on March 20, 2015 at the Huntington Center in Toledo. That night the Walleye claimed a 3-1 victory, and the only current Mavericks to play in that game were Josh Robinson and Andrew Courtney. Toledo begins play this week with the most wins in the ECHL with 33, but is 3-5-2 in its last 10 games. The Walleye will finish a weekend three-in-three in Independence on Sunday after starting things in Wichita for games on Friday and Saturday against the Thunder.
