Mavericks Make Pair of Roster Moves

Updated Roster

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - The Kansas City Mavericks made a pair of roster moves Wednesday, including a future considerations deal with the Orlando Solar Bears.

Forward Zach Stepan, a rookie out of Minnesota State, was dealt to Orlando for future considerations. The Minnesota native had played in both of the Mavericks’ preseason games but did not register a point.

Kansas City also has released defenseman Tyler Palmer from his standard player contract. The Edmonton, Alberta native skated in both exhibition games in Allen for the Mavericks, tallying four penalty minutes.

The Mavericks will open the season on Friday at Tulsa at 7:05 p.m. and will hold their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7:05 p.m. against Wichita.
