Mavs Sign Forward Garrett Klotz

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks have added forward Garrett Klotz to the roster, announced Tuesday by the club.

Klotz, 29, was a third-round pick of the Philadelphia Flyers (66th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft. He has played in 26 games in the ECHL this season, split between Quad City and Jacksonville, posting one assist and accruing 83 penalty minutes.

The Regina, Saskatchewan native has played professionally since the 2008-09 season, debuting with the AHL’s Philadelphia Phantoms and remaining in the AHL through the 2010-11 season.
