INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks and Stockton Heat announced a pair of moves Thursday.
Tyler Parsons has been reassigned to the Mavericks while Mason McDonald has been recalled to Stockton.
Parsons, 20, has played in 22 games with the Mavericks this season and owns a record of 11-9-0-0 at the ECHL level. He has accumulated a 2.97 Goals Against Average and a .908 Save Percentage, both best among Mavericks goalies this season.
The Chesterfield, Michigan native has found success at the AHL level of late, owning a 1.03 Goals Against Average and .958 Save Percentage with a 1-0 record in his last three appearances with Stockton. Parsons claimed his first AHL win in his start on Saturday against the San Jose Barracuda, making 32 saves in the game.
This is the third AHL call-up for McDonald this season. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native owns a 10-10-0-1 revcord with the Mavericks, including a 3.22 GAA and .892 SVP this season.
The Mavericks begin a three-game stretch in Ohio with a game at Cincinnati Thursday at 6:35 p.m. and will return home for another eight-game home stand starting next weekend with a game on Friday at 7:05 p.m. against Indy.
