TOLEDO, Ohio – The Kansas City Mavericks and AHL affiliate Stockton Heat have swapped goalies once again, announced Friday morning.
Mason McDonald will return to the Mavericks while Tyler Parsons rejoins the Stockton Heat ahead of their game at Grand Rapids.
McDonald, 21, was the Flames’ second-round pick (34th overalI) in the 2014 NHL Draft. In 22 games with Kansas City this season, McDonald is 10-10-0-1 with a 3.22 Goals Against Average and .892 Save Percentage.
The Halifax, Nova Scotia native made a season-best 39 saves against Tulsa on Dec. 27 and has earned three AHL call-ups so far this season.
Parsons, 20, returns to the Heat after playing in last night’s game with the Mavericks. This is Parsons’ third AHL call-up on the year.
The Mavericks face off against the Toledo Walleye tonight at 6:15 p.m., the second of three-straight road contests against Central Division teams.
