Hit the Skids
The Mavericks look to break out of a three-game losing streak in tonight’s game. All three losses came against the Cincinnati Cyclones, who have jumped to third in the Central Division. The Walleye come in on the opposite side of the coin, having won five-straight games and collecting points in six straight.
The Mavericks won the last series between the two teams, taking two of three games in January at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Kansas City dropped the Friday contest before rallying to take the second and third games of the weekend series against the Central Division leader.
First Goals First
The Walleye enter Friday’s game with an impressive 23-2-1-1 record when scoring the first goal this season. Kansas City owns one of Toledo’s two losses when scoring first, as was the case in the Sunday meeting in the January series. The Mavericks enter the game 13-8-0-0 when scoring the first goal.
On The Road Again
The Mavericks come into Friday’s game with a 14-10-0-0 record on the year away from Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. This is the second game at Toledo this season, the Walleye emerging with the victory in the last meeting in the Buckeye State.
