TOLEDO, Ohio – Netminder Chris Nell has been reassigned to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced the New York Rangers.
Nell had played in four games with the Mavericks, going 3-1-0-0 with a 2.50 Goals Against Average and .908 Save Percentage. Two of Nell’s three wins came against the Central Division-leading Toledo Walleye.
The 25-year-old netminder was assigned to the Mavericks on January 5 following an AHL call-up of Tyler Parsons to Stockton.
The Green Bay, Wisconsin native is on an Entry Level Contract with the New York Rangers. He is in his first full professional season and has logged games with the Mavericks and Adirondack Thunder as well as the Wolf Pack.
The Mavericks drop the puck at 6:15 tonight against the Toledo Walleye to wrap up a three-game road trip to Ohio before returning home for an eight-game home stand starting on Friday against Indy.
