4/1/25 – Mavericks Discuss Playoff Push During Final Coaches Show of the Regular Season:
The Mavericks wrapped up their regular season with the final coaches show, where coaches and players reflected on finishing strong and the importance of maintaining momentum heading into the playoffs. The discussion focused on key strategies, the team's growth, and how they're preparing for the challenges ahead.

4/1/25 – Mavericks Players Visit Operation Breakthrough’s 3D Lab to Create Lucky Pucks:
The Mavericks players returned to Operation Breakthrough, this time to explore their 3D virtual lab! The talented kids at Operation Breakthrough not only showed off some special lucky pucks they had created, but also gave the players a hands-on lesson in making their own 3D hockey pucks!

3/25/25 – Mavericks Players Pay a Visit to Ms. Madison Boynton's 5th Grade Class:
Mavericks players were thrilled to visit Ms. Madison Boynton’s 5th grade class from William Yates Elementary, who earned the top spot in the Mavericks’ literacy program, Mac's Power Play Reading Club. To celebrate their achievement, the students enjoyed a pizza party sponsored by Minsky’s Pizza! In its inaugural year, the program involved 65 schools, 140 classes, and 2,600 students, who collectively read over 723,350 minutes. Ms. Boynton’s class came out on top!

3/24/25 – Mavericks Players Visit Operation Breakthrough's 1st-3rd Grade Science Lab:
A group of Mavericks players had the exciting opportunity to visit Operation Breakthrough’s 1st-3rd grade science lab, where they interacted with young students at various educational stations. Throughout the event, both the players and the kids explored electric circuits, examined microscopes, delved into anatomy, and even created their own slime!

3/12/25 - Mavericks Players Support Special Olympics Missouri with Floor Hockey Clinic:
Mavericks players hosted a hockey clinic in support of Special Olympics Missouri on Wednesday! The players engaged with athletes, teaching them about hockey, leading them through drills, and even playing a game at the end of the clinic!

3/11/25 - Mavericks Players Visit Operation Breakthrough to Play Floor Hockey with the Kids:
Several Mavericks players had the opportunity to tour the facilities of our Community Partner, Operation Breakthrough. After the tour, they showcased their skills and taught the kids at Operation Breakthrough how to play hockey. Be sure to keep an eye out for the amazing programs that Operation Breakthrough offers to children and their families throughout the upcoming month!

3/4/25 - Justin MacPherson and Thomas Ferrell Visit Jami Cardwell's 3rd Grade Classroom:
MacPherson and Ferrell visited another “Top Classroom of the Month” as part of Mac’s Power Play Reading Club! The players traveled to Boy Spears Jr. Elementary School, where they met with Jami Cardwell’s 3rd-grade class. The students read over 10,000 minutes during the past month!

2/24/25 - Daniel Amesbury, David Cotton, and Victor Ostman Volunteer at Giving the Basics:
The three “captains” of the player competition visited and volunteered at our Community Partner, Giving the Basics, which they are supporting this month! The players toured the impressive facilities before helping package hygiene boxes that will be distributed to those in need. To learn how you can contribute, visit givingthebasics.org.

2/20/25 - 810 Sports Radio Coaches Show at Llywelyn's Pub:
The Mavericks hosted another Coaches Show, presented by 810 Sports Radio, at Llywelyn's Pub in Lee's Summit on Thursday. Coaches, along with players Charlie Wright, Damien Giroux, and Jack LaFontaine, discussed Mavericks hockey and the efforts needed to make a strong final push leading into the end of the season.

2/4/25 - Players Team Up for Giving the Basics Pop-Up Event:
Daniel Amesbury, David Cotton, and Victor Ostman took part in a pop-up event at Price Chopper. The three players have created a friendly competition in support of Giving the Basics, a Mavericks Community Partner. Throughout February, the players are collecting hygiene products—Amesbury for shampoo, Cotton for conditioner, and Ostman for deodorant. The friendly rivalry will continue at Mavericks home games this month. Donations can be dropped off at entry gates of every home game or made online here.
