12/18/24 - Mavericks and Variety KC Celebrate the Holidays at Jingle:

On December 18th, the KC Mavericks teamed up with community partner Variety KC for a festive holiday celebration at Jingle. Players and families from Variety KC enjoyed a private ice skating session, where the kids had the opportunity to learn a new skill by skating with sleds designed for sled hockey. The evening wrapped up with a heartwarming tree lighting ceremony as everyone gathered to light the big tree at Jingle.

12/17/24 - Mavericks Coaches Show Returns to Chicken N' Pickle:

The Mavericks hosted another exciting Coaches Show at Chicken N' Pickle on December 17th. Fans had the chance to hear from Head Coach & GM Tad O'Had, along with other coaches and players, as they shared insights into the team’s season and upcoming matchups. It was a fun-filled evening of hockey talk and fan engagement!

12/16/24 - Mavericks Hold Second Off-Site Practice at AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk:

The Mavericks held their second off-site practice at the newest rink in the KC area, AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk in Stilwell, KS. Home to the KC Icehawks, the rink provided a fantastic setting for the team to continue their on-ice preparations. The practice offered the players a fresh environment to stay sharp and focused as they gear up for their upcoming games.

12/16/24 - Mavericks Players Spread Christmas Joy at Children’s Mercy Hospital:

Mavericks Head Coach & GM Tad O'Had, along with players Jack LaFontaine, Damien Giroux, Jackson Berezowski, and Jimmy Mazza, spread holiday cheer during a special visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital. The team helped kids create personalized Build-a-Bears, bringing smiles and Christmas spirit to the young patients.

12/13/24 - Mac Teams Up with Santa and Buddy the Elf to Spread Holiday Cheer:

On December 13th, Mac joined forces with Santa and Buddy the Elf to spread some holiday magic at the HCA Ronald McDonald House and the NICU/Pediatrics units at Overland Park Regional. In partnership with Culver's, the Mavericks provided a festive meal for families with children in the NICU and Pediatrics. It was a heartwarming visit that brought extra joy to those spending the holidays in the hospital.

12/10/24 - Daniel Amesbury and Nolan Sullivan Visit "Top Classroom of the Month" from November in Mac's Power Play Reading Club:

Both Daniel Amesbury and Nolan Sullivan had the honor of visiting Crystal Davis' 4th grade class at Ridgeview Elementary, who earned the title of “Top Classroom of the Month” for November! This hardworking group read an impressive 16,000+ minutes as a class!

11/15/24 - Damien Giroux and Landon McCallum visit October's "Top Classroom of the Month" from Mac's Power Play Reading Club 

Damien Giroux, Landon McCallum, and Mac recently visited the first "Top Classroom of the Month" from Mac's Power Play Reading Club. Madison Boynton’s 5th grade class at William Yates Elementary School read an impressive 37,610 minutes in October! Each month, a few players, along with Mac, will visit the class that reads the most minutes as part of the KC Mavericks' new literacy program. 11/14/24 - KC Mavericks Have their Second Coaches Show at Cactus Grill 

Mavericks coaches, along with players Max Andreev, Daniel Amesbury, and Victor Ostman, hosted their second Coaches Show of the season at Cactus Grill in Leawood, KS, one of their newest partners. The show, streamed live exclusively on 810 Sports Radio in which players and coaches discussions about the start of the hockey season and how the team plans to build on their early success throughout the rest of the year.

11/12/24 - David Cotton and Max Andreev Team Up with Travis Kelce to support Operation Breakthrough 

Both David Cotton and Max Andreev were celebrity captains at Travis Kelce's Celebrity Challenge in support of Operation Breakthrough! Both Cotton and Andreev joined other star athletes in the KC community to help bring recognition to Operation Breakthrough's ignition lab, which is designed to help empower the next generation of entrepreneurs! 10/29/24 - Mavs Players Enjoy a Day With Furry Friends 

A few Mavericks players went to spend the afternoon with our friends at Wayside Waifs to create content for our social media accounts, as well as our video boards to display throughout the entire month of November to showcase our partnership with Wayside!
