9/29/24 - Mavs Participate in Wayside Waifs Strutt w/ Your Mutt 

The Mavericks were thrilled to participate in Wayside Waifs' "Strutt w/ Your Mutt" event in the Brookside Neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. We joined in the celebration of our furry friends at the largest dog-friendly walk/run event. Wayside Waifs is dedicated to helping abandoned, abused, and homeless pets find a second chance at life. This season, our partnership with Wayside Waifs focuses on addressing this issue head-on by offering a KC Mavericks/Wayside Waifs branded dog leash to anyone who adopts a dog during their month of emphasis in November! 9/24/24 - Coach Tad teams up with Variety KC for their Request-a-Thon

The Mavericks’ newest Community Partner hosted a Request-a-Thon on KC 102.1 radio station from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The event raised an impressive $192,890. One of the highlights of the day was Head Coach and GM Tad O'Had, who made a special appearance on the radio alongside Mac. Together, they created unforgettable memories for new families in Variety KC by presenting gifts to those joining the Variety KC family. 9/14/24 - Mavericks Help Putt for Success with Special Olympics Missouri

On Saturday September 14th, the KC Mavericks and Street Team were stationed at a hole at the Dare to Dream golf tournament hosted by Special Olympics Missouri. Golfers were able to donate money towards Special Olympics mission and in return were able to use a hockey stick as a putter! Those who were able to sink a putt received a voucher redeemable for four tickets to a KC Mavericks game in the 24-25 season.

9/7/14 - KC Mavericks Join the Fun on Outlaw Days in Downtown KC

The KC Mavericks joined the festivities at Outlaw Days in the River Market! Mac and our amazing Street Team teamed up with local bands and artists to celebrate the best of Kansas City. As we count down to hockey season, we can't wait to see you all at Cable Dahmer Arena! Let’s go, Mavs!

8/24/24 - Mac Shines During the Parkville Days Parade:

Mac and the KC Mavericks Street Team participated in the Parkville Days Parade throughout downtown Parkville this weekend. We had so much fun interacting with everyone at the parade! Stay tuned for upcoming events!

7/30/24 - KC Mavericks Present 5th Community Check Presentation to Operation BBQ Relief:

The KC Mavericks were honored to present their 5th Community Check Presentation to Operation BBQ Relief this afternoon. Founded in 2011, Operation BBQ Relief responds to natural disasters both nationally and internationally by feeding displaced families and first responders. To date, the organization has provided over 10 million meals in response to natural disasters, COVID-19, and through The Always Serving Project, which supports the homeless, first responders, veterans, and military members. 7/16/24 - Mavericks Present Fourth Community Check to Veterans Community Project:

On Tuesday, July 16th, the KC Mavericks had the privilege of honoring their 4th Community Check Presentation to Veteran's Community Project. Veteran's Community Project was established by combat veterans with the primary goal of providing housing for veterans experiencing homelessness. Through an innovative community of tiny homes, they offer everything needed for dignified and safe living, including new furniture, appliances, bedding, and utilities, all provided free of charge. Once a veteran is ready, VCP assists them in securing a permanent housing solution, including the contents of the tiny home. 7/1/24 - Opening the Month with Another Community Check Presentation to Giving the Basics:

The Mavericks kicked off July with another community check presentation to Giving the Basics. Established in 2011, Giving the Basics aims to restore hope, health, and human dignity by distributing hygiene products to those in need. 6/25/24 - Mavericks Present the 2nd Community Check to Operation Breakthrough:

Being able to present two community checks on the same day is always fun! Throughout the 2023–2024 hockey season, the Kansas City Mavericks partnered with Operation Breakthrough. Established in 1971, Operation Breakthrough provides a safe, loving, and educational environment for children in poverty, while empowering their families through advocacy, emergency aid, and education. 6/25/24 - Mavericks Present Community Check Presentation to Wayside Waifs:

On Tuesday, June 25th, the KC Mavericks were honored to present the first community check to Wayside Waifs for the 2023–2024 season. Wayside Waifs was one of our five main community partners throughout the season. Wayside's primary goal is to help find forever homes for all adoptable pets.
