MAVS SLIDE CONTINUES IN SUNDAY MATINEE AGAINST WICHITA WITH 3-2 LOSS

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks were defeated by the Wichita Thunder 3-2 Sunday at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Mason Morelli and Dylan Fitze netted goals for the Mavericks. The Mavericks return to action Friday night against the Tulsa Oilers at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena at 7:05 p.m.

Notes & Streaks-Mason Morelli has three goals in three consecutive games. -This was the Mavericks third loss when leading after two periods all season.-The Mavericks went zero-for-two on the power play and two-for-three on the penalty kill.

The Mavericks face-off against the Tulsa Oilers Friday night at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Faceoff is at 7:05 p.m.
