BRODIE REID NAMED INGLASCO ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PRINCETON, N.J. – Kansas City Mavericks forward Brodie Reid has been named the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for January 11-17. The 31-year-old forward turned in a big week, totaling three goals and two assists for five points in two games at Utah last week.

Reid’s big week kicked off last Friday in West Valley City, Utah against the Utah Grizzlies, where Reid netted a goal in a 4-1 loss before tallying four points in a 5-4 overtime victory against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

This is Reid’s first season with the Mavericks, playing in a total of 11 games for Kansas City, tallying seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in his career with the team.

A native of Delta, British Columbia, Reid is tied for third in the ECHL with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists in 11 games this season.

In his ECHL career, Reid has compiled 23 points on 10 goals and 13 assists in 20 games. In 198 games in the American Hockey League, Reid tallied 86 points on 40 goals and 46 assists. Prior to joining the Mavericks, Reid spent the previous five seasons in Austria, totaling 187 points on 73 goals and 114 assists in 231 games.

On behalf of Brodie Reid, a case of pucks will be donated to a Kansas City youth hockey organization by Inglasco, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Inglasco has donated more than 43,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
