INDEPENDENCE, MO — The Kansas City Mavericks announced their 2026-27 Theme Night schedule, featuring 11 theme nights throughout the regular season at Cable Dahmer Arena.
This season's schedule includes the return of several Mavericks traditions, including Teddy Bear Toss, Military Night, Fan Appreciation, and more.
Barn Party:
Friday, October 16
The Mavericks will celebrate opening weekend with Barn Party on Friday, Oct. 16. Fans can kick off the 2026-27 season with a night centered around welcoming hockey back to Kansas City.
Black Friday:
Friday, November 27
The Mavericks return home on Black Friday to face the Wichita Thunder. The night will feature Black Friday-themed promotions and fan opportunities throughout the evening.
Teddy Bear Toss:
Friday, December 11
One of the Mavericks' favorite annual traditions returns when Kansas City hosts its Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring new and tagged stuffed animals to the game and throw them onto the ice following the Mavericks' first goal. Collected stuffed animals will be donated to local organizations and children throughout the Kansas City community.
Star Wars Night:
Saturday, December 19
Star Wars Night returns to Cable Dahmer Arena on Dec. 19. Fans can expect Star Wars-themed entertainment and elements throughout the game as the Mavericks host the Idaho Steelheads.
New Year's Eve:
Thursday, December 31
Ring in the New Year with the Mavericks at Cable Dahmer Arena. Kansas City will host the Tulsa Oilers on New Year's Eve, with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Scout Night:
Saturday, January 16
Local Scouts and their families are invited to Cable Dahmer Arena for Scout Night as the Mavericks take on the Toledo Walleye. The night will recognize Scouts from across the Kansas City area and provide an opportunity for local troops and families to experience Mavericks hockey together.
First Responders Night:
Saturday, January 30
The Mavericks will recognize first responders from throughout the Kansas City community during First Responders Night. The evening will honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs and other emergency personnel who serve communities across the metro.
Affiliation Night:
Saturday, February 13
Kansas City will celebrate its affiliations with the NHL's Seattle Kraken and AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds. Affiliation Night will recognize the relationship between the three organizations and the role the Mavericks play in professional hockey development.
Military Night:
Saturday, February 20
The Mavericks will honor active-duty service members, veterans and their families during Military Night at Cable Dahmer Arena. The annual night will feature military recognitions throughout the game as Kansas City hosts the Tulsa Oilers.
Racing Night:
Saturday, March 20
Racing Night comes to Cable Dahmer Arena on March 20. The evening will combine Mavericks hockey with racing-themed elements and entertainment throughout the game.
Fan Appreciation:
Saturday, April 3
The Mavericks will celebrate the fans who supported the team throughout the 2026-27 season with Fan Appreciation Night on April 3. Kansas City hosts the Wichita Thunder during the final weekend of the regular season.
Additional details surrounding individual theme nights, including specialty jerseys, giveaways, and other promotions, will be announced throughout the season.
