MAVERICKS SIGN NETMINDER HENRY WILDER
INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Kansas City Mavericks have announced the signing of netminder, Henry Wilder for the 2026-27 season.
 
Wilder, 25, brings composure between the pipes along with quick reaction time to the Mavericks as the team looks to capture a fourth straight Mountain Division Championship. The 25-year-old joins the Mavericks after spending the 2025-26 season playing for Lyon in France. While playing overseas, Wilder established himself as a key presence in the crease. The 6-foot goaltender appeared in 17 games, posting an impressive 2.66 goals-against average (GAA) and a .917 save percentage while going 11-6. His 2.66 GAA ranked among the top three goaltenders in the league last season. 
 
Prior to playing hockey in Europe, Wilder played NCAA Division I hockey at Boston College and Colorado College.  He made his collegiate debut in December 2020 against UConn, stopping 30 shots to earn his first collegiate victory. Wilder also recorded an assist on the game-winning goal in the same contest for his first career point. Following the performance, he was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week. Wilder would round out his NCAA career playing for the Colorado College Tigers, posting a .894 SV% throughout his five years of collegiate hockey.
 
Wilder and the Mavericks will begin training camp on October 5, with their first games of the 2026-27 season set for October 16 and 17 against the Rapid City Rush at Cable Dahmer Arena.
