INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Mavericks announced today that forward Luke Stevens has been assigned to Kansas City from the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
A Duxbury, Mass., native, Stevens has 20 games of AHL experience across two professional seasons. Stevens played in 31 games for the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder last season prior to being loaned to the AHL’s Utica Comets for eight contests. In Adirondack, Stevens accounted for 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) on the season.
Stevens played four years at Yale and was a 2015 fifth round draft pick (126 overall) of the Carolina Hurricanes.
